Deck Building and Replacement in Jacksonville Beach and the Beaches

Deck building and replacement on the Jacksonville Beaches is select Duval work: Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, and Atlantic Beach, reached from our Ponte Vedra Beach shop. Palmetto Ledger Co. LLC, CRC #1335031. Jim Siebenaler has 30 years as a builder and remodeler.

A beaches deck fails at the fasteners, the posts, and the ledger long before the furniture looks dated. Salt air and sand sit on metal and wood. Replacement means taking the tired structure off and building one that can stay outside. A new deck on a cottage or a raised beach house has to fit a narrow lot, not a golf-course backyard.

This is not a promise to build decks across Jacksonville. Inland Duval is a different drive and a different house. If a beaches address is a poor fit, we say so before you plan around us. Some of these streets have no association. Where a neighborhood or condo association has to approve the deck, Jim can prepare and submit the HOA paperwork, or you can. When the city requires a permit, we pull it.

The photograph on this page is a finished Palmetto Ledger deck. It is not labeled as a Jacksonville Beach address. The beaches area page describes the cottages and mid-century houses. The renovations page lists decks with the rest of the outdoor work.

What to know before you call

Replace or build new

Replacement starts by seeing what the salt has done to the frame. A new deck starts with the lot, the door it serves, and how high the house sits.

Salt on the hardware

Posts, railings, and fasteners have to belong at the beach. A deck that only looks right on a dry afternoon will not stay that way.

Three beach towns

Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, and Atlantic Beach. That is the deck work we take from Ponte Vedra Beach.

How the work is paid

Projects usually start around $1,000.

Payment is by check, credit card, or cash. We do not offer financing. Smaller jobs can go to the Palmetto Home Care membership, which includes handyman time on each scheduled visit.
