Greater St. Augustine is a mix of older Florida houses, golf-community homes, and new construction. Palmetto Ledger remodels the ones that need a licensed residential contractor, not a historic-district specialty shop and not a handyman app.
We are honest about fit. Palmetto Ledger is not a colonial-era restoration studio. If your project is museum-grade fabric in the historic core, you need that specialist. If your project is a kitchen, bath, floor, addition, or deck on a St. Augustine or World Golf Village house — the work most owners actually need — that is our job.
St. Johns County permitting and inspection are part of doing this work correctly. A licensed Certified Residential Contractor can contract for residential construction; an unlicensed crew cannot paper over that with a cheaper bid. Jim Siebenaler’s CRC license is #1335031. He works the jobs. The company is based in Ponte Vedra, a short run from St. Augustine, Nocatee, and the rest of the county.
Older Florida homes outside the tourist blocks often need moisture and ventilation taken seriously when walls are opened. Newer houses often need a first real kitchen or primary bath instead of builder-grade. Either way, we walk the property before we quote.

If a house is between occupants, a make-ready is contractor work. We do not place tenants, collect rent, or manage rentals.

Questions homeowners ask
What work do you take on?
Kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and LVP, tile, additions, decks, and make-readies. A make-ready is paint, flooring, fixtures, and punch items so a house is ready to sell or occupy.
How soon can you start?
It depends on the schedule at the time. Larger jobs can usually start within about 30 days of signing, and smaller jobs often sooner. We'll give you a realistic start date with your quote.
Is there a minimum job size?
Most of our projects start around $1,000. For smaller fixes, our Palmetto Home Care members get handyman time on every visit and no trip minimum.
Do you handle HOA approvals?
Either way. We can prepare and submit the HOA paperwork for you, or you can handle it yourself if you prefer.
How do payments work?
Payments are tied to progress on the job, and the exact schedule is spelled out in your written contract. We accept check, credit card, and cash. We don't offer financing at this time.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Jim Siebenaler, the owner, is a Florida Certified Residential Contractor (CRC #1335031).
Do you pull permits?
When a project requires a permit, we pull it. We go over what the job needs when we walk the home. Requirements vary by job and by city or county.
